Imagine Monkland
Sauvons la Falaise was present all four days of the Imagine Monkland street festival. Friday evening was especially interesting as head-lamps were suspended to from the kiosk roof to illuminate the large scale plans, the 1:250 model of the Dalle Parc eco bridge, and different explanatory documents. As night fell the lit kiosk was an attraction to street festival walkers. There were many lively discussions, especially about the long wait by local citizens for the Dalle Parc which had been promised them in compensation to the years of lost urban life during the Turcot interchange rebuilding for the suburbs. Saturday was the highlight of the event because of the fantastic weather and great turn-out. Sauvons la Falaise was joined by its Invasives/ Native Wildflowers committees that day.
